Uncovering smugglers with Frederik Richter

Frederik Richter is a Reporter at Correct!v, a nonprofit investigative newsroom – the first of its kind in the German-speaking world.

Richter has had numerous market-moving scoops: covering both capital markets and Islamic finance, he has also written about Politics and civil unrest, with his work appearing on Reuters, the International Herald Tribune, Die Zeit, and handelsblatt.com just to name a few. He has been with Correct!v since May 2015.

During his career, Richter has reported from thirteen countries around South East Asia and Europe and lived in the Middle East for seven years.

At the International Journalism Festival Richter, with the support of his colleagues Cecilia Anesi and Giulio Rubino, discussed the work behind their investigative piece titled Hidden Fleet: the team unveiled a Syrian smuggling network dabbling in weapons, drugs, and human beings.
